th after the first round of the Lone Star Invitational hosted by UTSA Sunday at the par-72 Hyatt Hill Country Resort Golf Club.

th to lead the Huskies. Sophomore

Jeffrey Merrell carded 78 and is tied for 61
st, while sophomore
Brandon Wilhide shot 79 and is tied for 66
th. Freshman
Isaiah Huerta turned in a 77 and is tied for 55
th playing individually.
North Texas leads the tournament after opening with 284, three strokes ahead of Denver and six ahead of UTSA. Texas State and Central Arkansas are tied for fourth, Sacramento State is sixth, Arizona is seventh, and Houston and Southern Mississippi are tied for eighth, four strokes ahead of HBU. The Huskies are one stroke ahead of Utah Valley, whil Rice is 12
th, New Mexico State and Stephen F. Austin are tied for 13
th and Illinois State is 15
th.
North Texas' Rodolfo Cazaubon leads the tournament after shooting a 4-under par 68 and is one stroke ahead of teammate Carlos Ortiz and Central Arkansas' Pep Angles and two strokes ahead of three players tied at 70.
The tournament continues with single rounds Monday and Tuesday.
