HUNTSVILLE, Texas – Houston Baptist will hit the road to face Sam Houston State in non-conference baseball Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at Don Sanders Stadium.
Junior third baseman/first baseman Robbie Buller leads HBU (0-3), hitting .400 with a double, a home run and five runs scored. Junior centerfielder Luke Clements is hitting .385 with a double and two RBIs. Sophomore leftfielder Jake Gonzalez has a home run and three RBIs, while freshman third baseman Tanner Kalina leads the team with four RBIs.
Ryan Mooney leads Sam Houston State (1-2), hitting .400 with a pair of doubles, while Chris Andreas is hitting .300 with a home run and two RBIs. Braedon Riley is hitting .333 with two RBIs. All three games between Sam Houston State and Tulane were decided by 3-2 scores, with the Bearkats claiming the opener and the Green Wave winning the final two.
The Huskies host Bryant in a three-game series Friday through Sunday at Husky Field.
