Gaffney helped the Huskies to a 3-1 record for the week and was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Bon Temps Invitational in Lafayette, La. She hit .325 totalling 43 kills for an average of 3.07 per set and added 19 blocks, five solo, for an average of 1.36 per set. Gaffney had 11 kills and five blocks in the Aug. 28 sweep of Prairie View A&M, then had nine kills and four blocks at Louisiana. She had 11 kills and four blocks against Southern Miss, then posted season-highs of 12 kills and six blocks in a sweep of McNeese State. For the season, Gaffney leads the Huskies with 76 kills, 3.17 per set, and 27 blocks for an average of 1.12 per set.
