Senior 1B/C Melissa Herman had a monster tournament, helping HBU go 3-1 at the Lion Classic II. She went 6-for-9 (.667) with a double, six runs scored, four RBIs, and three stolen bases. Prior to that, she scored the lone run against Texas Southern with a home run to dead-center field. Herman tied her career high in Friday's Lion Classic opener by going a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate and set a new personal best in Sunday's finale with three stolen bases. She hit .583 (7-for-12) on the week with a .917 slugging percentage and a .722 on-base percentage. Herman also did not register an error in a team-high 23 putouts.
