HOUSTON, Texas – Rain brought the Tom Tellez Alumni Invitational to an early end for the HCU track & Field team on Saturday across town at the UH Carl Lewis International Complex.
Benny Haywood, who qualified for the finals in the 110 meter hurdles on Friday, placed sixth in the 110h with a time of 14.47 in the finals.
Albin Wallenius set a new PR in the men's 1500 meters, racing to a time of 3:53.92 to finish second while teammate
Justice Artisst finished fifth with a mark of 3:57.52.
Storm Evans posted a top throw of 11.97m/39-3.25 in the shot put while
Taylor Brown recorded a top mark of 36.88m/121-0 in the weight throw.
HCU will head to Bryan-College Station, Texas next weekend for the Texas A&M 44 Farms Team Invitational on Friday and Saturday, Apr. 11-12.
