BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Huskies were back in action at the Birmingham Crossplex for day two of the Southland Conference Championships.
In the field events,
Layloni Watson leaped her way to gold in the women's triple jump with a mark of 12.52m/41-1.00. Teammates
Chimaoge Nwokedi and
Angela Hindes also scored points in a tie for seventh place, both clearing 1.60m/5-3.00 in the women's high jump.
After qualifying for finals on day one in the men's 60m hurdles,
Ashton Munoz-Nieves finished on the podium in third overall with a time of 8.03.
HCU returns to action on March 20-21 at Durley Stadium in Houston for the TSU Relays for their outdoor season opener.
