FRISCO, Texas – HCU's Julius Malone was named the Southland Conference Men's Field Athlete of the week after his impressive performance in the high jump at the Rice Victor Lopez Classic last week.
Malone opened his outdoor collegiate career by taking first in the high jump, clearing 2.17m/7-1.5 and setting not only a new PR, but also a new school record in the event. The jump currently places him first in the SLC, second in the region, and third in Division I this season.
The Huskies will be back in action at the SFA Carl Kight Invite and Multi in Nacogdoches this week on Apr. 2-3.
