NATCHITOCHES, La. - The HCU men's and women's cross country teams are set for the 2025 Southland Conference Cross Country Championships this Friday morning, hosted on the campus of Northwestern State University.

Destiny Quintanilla has been the women's top finisher in all three of the Huskies' races this season, including a fifth-place overall finish at the McNeese Cowboy Stampede, running the 5k race in 17:50.7. Freshman
Reyes Carrera always came right behind her in each of the three races, placing eighth at the McNeese Cowboy Stampede, running the 4k race in 18:14.4 in just her second-career collegiate race.

Raphael Aureau, a senior, has been at the front for the men in each of their three races and posted a time of 16:17.0 in the 5,200-meter race at the Rice Invitational to come in sixth. He followed that up with a sixth-place finish at the Cowboy Stampede Junior
Colby Kurtz has come strong right after Aureau, finishing one or two spots behind him multiple times season. Kurtz has a pair of top-10 finishes to his name this season, including a seventh-place finish at the Cowboy Stampede.

The women's 6k race will begin at 8:32 a.m. followed by the men's 8k at 9:32 a.m. with both set to be broadcast live on ESPN+.
