XC: HCU’s Season Concludes at NCAA South Central Regional

Lahalle and Carrera lead the Huskies in Arkansas



FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - HCU cross country wrapped up the 2025 season on Friday at the NCAA South Central Regional hosted by Arkansas.
 
Junior Leandre Lahalle led the HCU men in the 10k race, racing to a time of 31:54.8 to place 59th overall. Next to finish for the Huskies was Raphael Aureau, a senior, who finished in 32:57.1, with Colby Kurtz crossing in 33:05.8. Gavin Almaguer posted a time of 34:55.7 and Bo Badger was fifth for the Huskies with a mark of 35:36.5. The HCU men finished 20th as a team.
 
For the women, freshman Reyes Carrera put up a team-best time of 22:42.7, coming in 99th overall. Senior Destiny Quintanilla was next, finishing 110th with a time of 22:55.5. Jazlynn Garza and Jazlynn Estrada were the Huskies' other two finishers, posting times of 23:53.0 and 24:01.4, respectively.
