FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. –
Jessica Rabius earned her spot in the NCAA 1500 meters quarterfinals on Thursday afternoon at John McDonnell Field, on the campus of the University of Arkansas, by virtue of a top-five finish in her heat.
Rabius, running in the fourth and final heat of the event, stayed with the leaders as top-six started to separate from the pack on the final and posted a time of 4:21.97 to place fourth and move on to the quarterfinals. The top five in each heat automatically advanced to the next round.
Rabius will run at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, May 25, while teammate
Alex Piquart is set to run in the men's 800 meter quarterfinals on Friday, May 24, at 7:05 p.m.
