HOUSTON - Several top ten individual performances highlighted HCU men and women's track and field teams' performances on Saturday during day two of the Robert Platt Invitational at the University of Houston's Yoeman Fieldhouse.
On the track, senior
Alex Piquart shined again in the men's 800 meter run, finishing second, just a fraction of a second behind Stephen F. Austin's Nathan Kapel with a time of 1:51.85. Senior
Justice Artisst came in 8th in the men's mile run with a time of 4:16.47. The Huskies finished 10th in the men's 4x400 meter relay at 3:14.28.
In the women's events, junior
Arlette Concepcion finished 4th in the 3000 meters, clocking a time of 9:56.55. Sophomore
Eline Mast came in 10th in the women's 800 meter run at 2:18.19. HCU finished 9th in the women's 4x400 meter relays with a time of 4:02.32.
In the field events, senior
Scott Boon recorded a top ten finish in the pole vault at 4.75m/15-7.0.Â
The Huskies are back in action on February 9, once again returning to Yoeman Fieldhouse for the Howie Ryan Invitational.
