CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - HBU will begin an eight-game road stretch with a three-game Southland Conference series against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Thursday through Saturday at Chapman Field. All three games will be shown on ESPN+.

Brendan Ryan is hitting .376 with nine doubles, a triple, three home runs, 18 RBIs and 26 runs, while Max Puls is hitting .319 with eight doubles, two triples, two home runs, 22 RBIs and 20 runs for the Islanders (16-18, 3-6). Leo Markotic is hitting .283 with eight doubles, three home runs, 23 RBIs and 23 runs. Steven Rivera-Chijin leads the team with 27 runs and Josh Caraway has hit five home runs with 28 RBIs. Tre Jones has homered six times.

TAMU-CC will likely start lefthander Zach Garcia (3-2, 2.78 ERA), righthander Hayden Thomas (4-2, 5.23 ERA) and lefthander Jaime Ramirez Jr. (1-1, 4.58 ERA).
Next week, HBU will face Houston Tuesday, followed by Lamar Wednesday, before heading out to face Northwestern State in Southland play for the weekend.
