EDINBURG, Texas - HBU will play six of its last seven scheduled non-conference games on the road, beginning with a matchup against UT Rio Grande Valley Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at UTRGV Stadium.
 
Junior catcher Parker Edwards is hitting .375 with six home runs, six doubles, 17 RBIs and 12 runs for the Huskies (8-16). Junior centerfielder Austin Roccaforte is hitting .275 with four doubles, two triples, nine RBIs, 12 runs and has a .438 on-base percentage.
 
Junior righthander Thomas King, who is 0-1 iwth a 12.79 ERA in 6.1 innings, is expected make his third start of the year for HBU.
 
Brandon Pimentel is hitting .420 with nine home runs, seven doubles, 29 RBIs and 28 runs for the Vaqueros (13-10), with Brett Cain hitting .323 with three home runs, five doubles, a triple, 11 RBIs and 12 runs. Freddy Rojas Jr. is hitting .321 with four home runs, seven doubles, 18 RBIs and 20 runs, while Bryan Sturges is hitting .286 with three home runs, eight doubles, 17 RBIs and 19 runs.
 
Righthander J.C. Ariza, who is 1-0 with a 4.60 ERA is likely to make his fourth start of the year for UTRGV.
 
HBU leads the all-time series against UTRGV, 19-14, with each team holding serve on its home field the two times they met in 2019.
 
The Huskies will return home to host New Orleans in Southland Conference play Friday through Sunday at Husky Field.
