Huskies to hold Senior Day Saturday between games

HOUSTON – HBU will take on Central Arkansas in a four-game Southland Conference series Friday and Saturday at Husky Field. The Husky Sports Network broadcast with Russ Reneau will be available for each game on HBUHuskies.com.
 
Sophomore first baseman Brennen Bales is hitting .341 with seven doubles, two triples, two home runs, 19 RBIs and 18 runs, while senior rightfielder Brandon Bena is hitting .269 with seven doubles, four home runs, 19 RBIs and 18 runs. Junior second baseman Jake Miller is hitting .265 with six doubles, one home run, 14 RBIs and 22 runs, while freshman shortstop Sebastian Trinidad is hitting .257 with seven doubles, a triple, 22 RBIs and 10 runs. Senior leftfielder Lane Botkin leads the team with 19 stolen bases.
 
The Huskies have not set their rotation, but will likely use a combination of senior righthander Jacob Coats, sophomore righthanders Jared Burch, Daxton Tinker and Tyler Zarella and junior lefthander Austin Spinney. Junior righthander Andrew Reitmeyer is 2-3 with a 3.96 ERA and four saves in a team-leading 17 appearances.
 
Coby Potvin is hitting .350 with eight doubles, a triple, 17 RBIs and 24 runs, while Taylor Daniell is hitting .318 with four doubles, two home runs, 14 RBIs and 12 runs for UCA. Kolby Johnson is batting .311 with six doubles, two home runs, 23 RBIs and 30 runs and Connor Emmet is batting .278 with eight home runs, six doubles, 31 RBIs and 33 runs.
 
The Bears will likely start Mark Moyer, Logan Gilbertson, Conner Williams and Tate Busey.
 
Due to the inclement weather forecast for Sunday, the two teams will play a pair of doubleheaders on Friday and on Saturday, with both beginning at 11 a.m. The Huskies will honor their 10 seniors in between games of Saturday's doubleheader.
