HAMMOND, La. – The final three Southland Conference games for HBU women's soccer will all be played on the road beginning this week when the Huskies travel to face Southeastern Louisiana and Nicholls on Thursday and Saturday.

Last Thursday, HBU (2-9-1, 2-6-0 SLC) dropped its final non-conference matchup of the season across town at Rice by a 2-0 score. The Huskies had a couple of near misses on the offensive end against a touch Owls team that defeated 12th-ranked Texas A&M 10 days earlier.

The Huskies are currently 11th in the Southland Conference standings with six points but are just four points out from seventh place. The top eight teams in the standings will qualify for the SLC tournament.

Southeastern Louisiana (3-2-3, 3-2-3 SLC) enters Thursday's match riding a five-game unbeaten streak. Last week the Lady Lions posted a pair of 0-0 ties on the road at UIW and Abilene Christian. Sophomore Mya Guillory leads the offense with four goals and two assists while senior goalkeeper Nadine Maher boards a goals against average of just 0.89.

Nicholls (0-13-0, 0-8-0 SLC), meanwhile, is still looking for its first win of the season. The Colonels have not yet scored a goal this season and were out-scored 9-0 in two road games at ACU and UIW this past weekend. In goal, freshman keeper Reagan Carter holds a .718 save percentage.

The Huskies will close out the spring 2021 season in Corpus Christi, Texas against the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders on Friday, Apr. 9.
