HOUSTON - HBU returns home to host Lamar in a four-game Southland Conference baseball series Thursday through Saturday at Husky Field. All four games will be broadcast live on the Husky Sports Network.
 
Sophomore first baseman Brennen Bales is hitting .333 with a home run, two doubles, eight RBIs and seven runs for the Huskies (5-18, 3-9 SLC), while junior second baseman Jake Miller is hitting .299 with four doubles, five RBIs and 11 runs. Senior rightfielder Brandon Bena has hit three home runs, with three doubles, 14 RBIs and 10 runs and freshman shortstop Sebastian Trinidad has driven in nine and scored six times.
 
HBU is expected to start junior lefthander Austin Spinney, senior righthander Jacob Coats and sophomore righthander Tyler Zarella, with Saturday's starter to be determined.
 
George Avery is hitting .329 with three doubles, a triple, seven RBIs and 14 runs for Lamar (10-8, 2-6), while Chase Kemp is hitting .323 with five home runs, four doubles, 16 RBIs and 10 runs. Anthony Quirion has three home runs, four doubles, 12 RBIs and 11 runs.
 
Lamar will likely start righthanders Trevin Michael, Zach Bravo and Josh Ekness with Saturday's starter to be determined.
 
The Huskies hit the road to face Oral Roberts in a three-game non-conference series next weekend in Tulsa, Okla.
