YOUNGSVILLE, Louisiana – The HBU Huskies head out to Youngsville, Louisiana for the Mardi Gras Mambo hosted by the Southeastern Louisiana Lions. The Huskies have five games with two double headers and in game one they faceoff with the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks at 1 p.m. followed by a Southland Conference opponent the Northwestern State Lady Demons at 3 p.m. On Saturday the Huskies battle with the Detroit Mercy Titans at 2 p.m. followed with the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils at 4 p.m. In game five, the Huskies will clash with the Middle Tennessee State Lady Raiders to conclude the Mardi Gras weekend.
The Huskies (7-3) as off late are hitting .332 as a team with eight players batting .313 or higher. The Huskies' offense is led by freshman outfielder
Jasie Roberts who leads the team in batting average with .481 going 13-27 with four extra base hits while driving in six runs and scoring eight times. Senior

Heidi Jaquez is the leading producer of runs for the Huskies driving in 10 runs while batting .375 with five doubles and has scored eight times herself.
The Huskies pitching staff has posted a 1.91 team earned run average in 10 games played. Freshman

Elliott Estes both are posting sub 1.00 ERAs in 7+ innings of work. The Huskies have pitched four complete games and have held their opponents' batting average to .221.
