SAN ANTONIO, Texas– The HBU Huskies finished out The Big Easy Classic going 4-1 and head out to San Antonio to face the UTSA Roadrunners in the first midweek matchup of the season.
The Huskies (4-1) dominated the Big Easy classic hitting .482 and outscoring opponents 27-7. Freshman
Jasie Roberts leads the Huskies with a .583 batting average going 7-12 with two doubles and one run batted while scoring once. Senior
Heidi Jaquez was the leading run producer driving in seven RBI's and scoring six times in 18 plate appearances.
HBU's pitching staff recorded three complete games and posted a 1.06 ERA as a team. Freshmen
Madison Cotton and
Lyndie Swanson both threw complete games in their collegiate debut as well as
Jessica Patak threw a complete game to start off her junior campaign.
The Roadrunners (3-2) posted a .437 team batting average in five games with Riley Grunberg leading the team in hitting with a .417 batting average. Lauren Coerver is the teams leading run producer driving in seven runs while scoring three times herself. Madison Nelson leads the Roadrunners in the circle with a 1.59 ERA in 5.2 innings of work while striking out four batters.

Senior
Riley Bullen went 7-16 posting a .438 batting average hitting two doubles and one homerun while driving in five runs and scoring five herself.
Junior
Elliott Estes earned a 0.00 ERA in four innings of work giving up one hit and striking out three batters.
The Huskies head out to Huntsville, Texas this weekend for the Bearkat Invitational going up against Loyola-Chicago, two games versus Providence, and George Mason.
