AUSTIN, Texas –
Ana Kriletic became the first HBU track & field student-athlete to ever receive Academic All-America honors on Thursday, being selected to the Google Cloud Academic All-America third team as voted by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
A senior from Split, Croatia, Kriletic is a psychology major with a perfect 4.0 grade point average. She holds a pair of program records in the pentathlon, with a point total of 3,330, and the javelin, with a top mark of 42.11m/138-2.
Her selection makes her the program's first Academic All-America honoree and is HBU's fourth honoree for the 2018-19 school year. She joins volleyball's Kayla Davenport, women's basketball's Amanda Johnson and softball's Demi Janak, giving HBU its highest number of selections in one year, besting the previous high of two.
