SAN ANTONIO - HBU jumped out to an early lead, but UTSA rallied for an 11-8 victory in non-conference baseball Tuesday night at Roadrunner Field.

Anthony Jones went 3-for-4 with a grand slam, a double, five RBIs and scored twice for the Huskies (13-27), while junior first baseman
Johnny Gonzales went 2-for-5 with a home run. Junior third baseman
Trent Franson went 2-for-5 and scored a run and junior leftfielder
Ryne Edmondson walked twice and scored a pair of runs.

Solomon Klimeck (2-1) took the loss, allowing a run on six hits in 2.2 innings. Starter
Brent Pronger gave up eight runs on eight hits in 2.1 innings, but left with the game tied.
Nick Thornquist was 3-for-4 with a double and scored three times, while Taylor Barber went 4-for-5 with a double, two RBIs and two runs for the Roadrunners (19-22). Aldo Buendia was 2-for-4 with four RBIs and Shane Sirdashney went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and scored a run.
Bradley Griggs (2-3) picked up the win, tossing two scoreless innings and allowing three hits. Connor Heffron earned his first save, allowing one hit in two scoreless innings and striking out five. Starter Jake Harrison allowed five unearned run in two innings.
The Huskies got off to a hot start with a five-run first inning. Senior catcher
Erik Voller drove in a run with the bases load, then Jones unloaded a grand slam to left center, his third home run of the season.
UTSA answered with a four-run second on a pair of RBI groundouts, an RBI double by Arias and an RBI single by Stacy.
Gonzales led off the third with a solo homer to right center, this team-leading fifth of the year, then HBU scored a pair of two-out runs on an RBI double by Jones, who then scored on a pair of UTSA errors to extend the lead to 8-3.
The Roadrunners came right back with two-run singles by Barber and Sirdashney to tie the game, 8-8.
Buendia's RBI single in the fourth put UTSA ahead, then he added a two-run single in the sixth for an 11-8 advantage.
The Huskies return to Southland Conference play, hosting Central Arkansas in a three-game series Friday through Sunday at Husky Field.
