HOUSTON - HBU hosts Lamar for a Southland Conference matchup in the final home game of the season on Senior Day and Miliary & First Responders Appreciation Day presented by Houston Federal Credit Union Saturday at 2 p.m. at Husky Stadium. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN3 with the audio simulcast on KKME Digital Radio.
 
Junior quarterback Bailey Zappe has completed 314-of-469 passes for 3,193 yards and 30 touchdowns, leading the nation in completions and attempts, ranking second in touchdowns and third in yards for the Huskies (4-6, 1-5 SLC). Sophomore wide receiver Jerreth Sterns ranks second nationally with 91 catches for 723 yards and six touchdowns, while junior Ben Ratzlaff has 69 catches for 878 yards and 10 touchdowns. Senior Gamar Girdy Brito has 39 catches for 415 yards and two touchdowns and ranks third in the nation in kickoff return averages with a pair of scores. Junior running back Dreshawn MInnieweather averages 97.2 yards per game with six touchdowns, while sophomore Ean Beek averages 62.4 yards with four touchdowns and has caught 27 passes for  231 yards and a pair of scores.
 
Sophomore linebacker Brennan Young leads the league with 113 tackles, while junior linebacker Caleb Johnson has 90 and freshman safety Tra Fluellen has 78. Young and Fluellen each have two interceptions and Johnson has six sacks and two fumble recoveries. Senior defensive end Andre Walker leads the nation with 13.5 sacks. Freshman kicker Gino Garcia has hit 17-of-21 field goals, with three of his misses coming from beyond 50 yards.
 
Jordan Hoy has completed 138-of230 passes for 1,611 yards and eight touchdowns, while rushing for 400 yards and eight touchdowns for the Cardinals (4-6, 2-5). Kirkland Banks is one of four receivers with more than 200 yards, leading LU with 33 catches for 470 yards. Myles Wanza is the team's leading rusher with 471 yards and four touchdowns.
 
Michael Lawson has made 84 tackles and five interceptions, while Andre Mulinax and David Croley each have 55 stops. Daniel Crosley leads the Cardinals with five sacks.
 
Lamar leads the all-time series, 4-1, including a 38-9 victory in Beaumont last year.
 
The Huskies wrap up the season on the road against Sam Houston State Saturday at noon in Huntsvile, Texas.
