HOUSTON – The 2026 HCU football schedule, announced on Tuesday morning, includes a week 0 matchup against Southland Conference foe Southeastern, five home games and six games in the city of Houston.
The Huskies will begin
Jason Bachtel's third year at the helm with a road Southland Conference matchup in Hammond, La. against the Southeastern Lions on Aug. 29 before returning to Houston for a crosstown matchup with the Rice Owls at Rice Stadium on Sept. 5. HCU will then host Arkansas Baptist at Husky Stadium for the team's home opener the following Saturday, Sept. 12.
Consecutive road games follow, with a trip to San Antonio to face SLC member UIW on Sept. 19 followed by the final non-conference game of the season, a Sept. 26 matchup in Denton against North Texas. October begins with a home contest against the Nicholls Colonels on Oct. 3 with the Huskies enjoying their bye week the following weekend. East Texas A&M visits Husky Stadium on Oct. 17 before consecutive road games at Lamar and Stephen F. Austin on the final two weekends of the month.
November opens with the McNeese Cowboys coming to Houston on Nov. 7 before HCU heads to Natchitoches, La. on Nov. 14 for the final road game of the season against Northwestern State. The Huskies will then close out the regular season on their home turf against UT Rio Grande Valley on Nov. 21.
