HOUSTON – With the road portion of the 2019 schedule finished the HBU women's soccer team will close out the regular season with three-straight matches on their home turf beginning this Friday, Oct. 25, when the Huskies host McNeese at Sorrels Field at 7:00 p.m.
HBU (2-13-0, 1-7-0 SLC) dropped a pair of road matchups at Central Arkansas and Northwestern State this past weekend and in the Huskies' last home game, they fell in an overtime heartbreaker to UIW after evening the score late in regulation while down a player. McNeese (9-6-0, 5-3-0 SLC) comes into the weekend having lost three-straight after opening SLC play with five consecutive wins. Lamar (10-6-0, 7-1-0 SLC) enters the weekend atop the league standings and riding a six-game winning streak. The Cardinals will face Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Friday evening before visiting the Huskies on Sunday, Oct. 27, at 1:00 p.m.

Bryce Reynolds are the two Huskies who have started every game this year and have played 1,354 minutes and 1,358 minutes, respectively. In goal, freshman
Ashtyn Franks is second in the conference with 65 saves and her 4.64 saves per game rank fourth.
The Cowgirls are led offensively by junior Anna Watson who has totaled six goals and an assist for 14 points. She's tied for second in the SLC with four game-winning goals on the year. Junior Emma Roccaforte has played the most minutes in goal for McNeese, starting nine games and owning a 6-2-0 record in net.
Lamar boasts the top-scoring offense in the league, totaling 47 goals with juniors Esther Oronkwo and Lucy Ashworth combining to score 31 of those and ranking first and second in the conference. Goalkeeper Sandra Nygard has totaled 58 saves over 13 games.
Following this coming weekend's matches the Huskies will host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Friday, Nov. 1, at 5:00 p.m. for Senior Night.
