The Huskies (1-2) are coming off their bye week after back-to-back Southland Conference losses to 14th-ranked McNeese and Abilene Christian. Sophomore quarterback

Dreshawn Minnieweather has rushed 38 times for 296 yards and three scores, while senior wide receiver

Senior
Alec Chadwick handles all of the kicking duties, leading the nation with a 47.9-yard punt average. He has the longest field goal in the FCS each of the last two seasons, but it 0-2 on the year with misses from 53 and 48 yards.

SMU (1-3) scored a 31-30 overtime victory over Navy at home last week. Ben Hicks has completed 40-of-81 passes for 492 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions, with James Proche leading the Mustangs with 28 catches for 357 yards and four touchdowns. Braeden West has rushed 53 times for 285 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also catching 14 passes for 146 yards and a score.

Rodney Clemons is SMU's leading tackler with 38 and Jordan Williams has made 26. Richard Moore has a team-best two sacks, while Mikial Onu and Shaine Hailey each have an interception.

HBU is 0-3 all-time against FBS opponents with its last meeting resulting in a 20-11 loss at Texas State in last year's season opener on Sept. 2, 2017. The Huskies' have also faced UTEP and Western Kentucky, both in 2016.

The Huskies are beginning a three-game road stretch, following Saturday's action with a return to Southland Conference play against No. 12 Central Arkansas Saturday, Oct. 6 in Conway, followed by Southeastern Louisiana Saturday, Oct. 13 in Hammond.
