th in University of Houston's Border Olympics, after carding 298 to total 23-over par 887.
Junior
Zach Campbell led the Huskies, carding 74 bringing his total to 218 to tie for 44
th. Senior
Val Almendarez tied for 56
th with a 73 in the third round and a total of 220. Senior
Carlos Trevino finished tied for 73
rd, after carding 75 in his final round bringing his total to 224, one stroke ahead of junior
Dan Dimaculangan, who tied for 78 with a 76 in the third round. Sophomore
Nicko Martinez shot 76 total 233 and finish 95
th, while sophomore
Marcelo Trevino, who competed individually, carded 75 bringing his total to 237 to finish 96.
Campbell totaled 21-under par 843 to take the top sport in the team standings, which is two strokes ahead of Arkansas State, 12 strokes ahead of Sam Houston State and ULM and 13 strokes ahead of Ut-Rio Grande Valley.
Western Kentucky's Billy Tom Sargent led individually with 12-under par 204, followed by Campbell's Pontus Nyholm takes second with 10-under 206. Houston's Michael Perras and UTSA's Sean Meehan tie for third with 8-under par 208, while Campbell's Amarin Kraivixien and Thomas LaMorte tie for fifth with 7-under par 209.
The Huskies take a week off, before heading out to Palm Beach, Florida for the FAU Slomin Autism Invitational at PGA National Friday, March 23 through Sunday, March 25.
