HBU (5-11, 1-5 SLC) fell to Southeastern Louisiana, 76-61 Wednesday night at Sharp Gym, but sophomore guard
Sydney Carr managed to score for a career-high 21 points. Carr is shooting 47.6 percent from the floor, averaging 7.4 points a game. Junior guard
Amanda Johnson is leading the Huskies, ranking third in the conference with 16.3 points, shooting 44.1 percent from the field and hitting 14-of-45 from the 3-point range, while also bringing down 5.1 rebounds a game. Sophomore guard

Veronika Kirienko ranks third in field goal percentage (.480), while sophomore forward
Lauren Calver is right behind her at the number four spot (.479).
The Cowgirls (7-10, 3-3 SLC) are coming off of Saturday's win at Southeastern Louisiana, 77-65, where Dede Sheppard, Caitlin Davis, Jasmyn Carswell and Shayln Riley scored in double figures with Sheppard leading the team with 17 points. Davis averages 11.2 points a game and leads the team with 24 steals and 97 assists, 34 tacked on during conference play. Sheppard contributes 10.1 points, while Keara Hudnall adds 9.8 points a game. Mercedes Rogers puts up 7.4 points and leads the team with 7.1 boards a game.
McNeese leads the all-time series record over HBU 3-6. The series was split last season with the Cowgirls taking the first round on Jan. 7, 53-68, and the Huskies winning the second round at home on Feb 22, 72-68.
The Huskies return to action on the road to face Incarnate Word Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 6 p.m. and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Saturday, Jan. 27 at 5 p.m. They return home briefly Wednesday, Jan. 31, before traveling to take on Central Arkansas Feb. 7 and Nicholls Feb. 10.
