HOUSTON - HBU hosts Abilene Christian in a three-game Southland Conference series Thursday through Saturday at Husky Field. The video and Legacy Sports Network audio broadcasts with Russ Reneau begin with the pregame show 15 minutes prior to each first pitch and can be accessed on HBUHuskies.com.
 
Senior centerfielder Zane Otten has hit safely in his last five games, leading the Huskies (14-15, 6-6 SLC) with a .337 batting average with four doubles, three triples, nine RBIs and 16 runs. Junior leftfielder Spencer Halloran is hitting .336 with seven doubles, four triples, three home runs, 21 RBIs and 27 runs. Junior shortstop Tyler Depreta-Johnson has hit safely in the last nine games and is hitting .320 with  two doubles, a triple, a home run, 10 RBIs and 16 runs, while senior rightfielder Brandon Brintz is hitting .353 over his last 10 games with three doubles, a home run, five RBIs and eight runs.
 
The Huskies are expected to send senior righthander Addison Russ (1-3, 3.04 ERA), senior lefthander Christian Thames (4-1, 3.02 ERA) and sophomore righthander Daniel Endsley (1-2, 2.01 ERA) to the mound. Sophomore righthander JT Newton leads HBU with 13 appearances, posting a 2-0 records with four saves, a 1.96 ERA, 25 strikeouts and two walks.
 
Russell Crippen leads ACU (9-20, 1-14), hitting .378 with 13 doubles, five home runs, 22 RBIs and 21 runs, while Luis Trevino is hitting .365 with 14 doubles, a triple, three home runs, 28 RBIs and 19 runs. Derek Scott has a .331 batting average with nine doubles, three home runs, 12 RBIs and 26 runs, while Dalon Farkas is hitting .303 with nine doubles, a triple, two home runs, 17 RBIs and 20 runs.
 
The Wildcats are likely to start righthanders Keaton Brewer (0-1, 6.00 ERA), Nick Skeffington (1-2, 8.49 ERA) and Zach Kornely (0-0, 5.51 ERA).
 
The series begins with a 2 p.m. first pitch Thursday, followed by another 2 p.m. start Friday, then the Saturday finale at 1 p.m.
