LAWRENCE, Kansas - HBU leaves the city of Houston, as well as the state, for the first time this season when it travels to face Kansas in a three-game non-conference baseball series this weekend at Hoglund Ballpark. The Legacy Sports Network audio broadcast with Russ Reneau will be available on HBUHuskies.com, while the games will also be broadcast on ESPN3.

The schedule has been modified, beginning with a doubleheader Friday at 1 p.m. Saturday's game will remained as scheduled, but there is a strong possibility of snow in the forecast. Check back on HBUHuskies.com for any further changes.
 
Junior outfielder Spencer Halloran is hitting .442 with three doubles, three triples, a home run, 13 RBIs and 14 runs for the Huskies (7-4), while senior third baseman Austin Zillweger is hitting .385 with a home run, seven RBIs and four runs. Junior shortstop Tyler Depreta-Johnson has hit safely in his last four, raising his batting average to .359 with three RBIs and six runs, and senior outfielder Zane Otten returned to the lineup this past weekend after injuring his thumb on opening weekend and went 5-for-8 with a double, a triple, three RBIs and six runs.
 
The Huskies will send senior righthander Addison Russ (0-0, 1.84 ERA), senior lefthander Christian Thames (1-0, 3.50 ERA) and sophomore righthander Zach Carter (3-0, 2.65 ERA) to the mound.
 
Matt McLaughlin is hitting .340 with two doubles, a triple, seven RBIs and eight runs scored for the Jayhawks (5-7), while Devin Foyle is hitting .317 with five doubles, seven RBIs and eigth runs. Jaxx Groshans has a team-leading nine RBIs, while James Cosentino and Rudy Karre have each scored eight times.
 
KU will start righthanders Sean Rackoski (2-1, 3.68 ERA) and Jackson Goddard (1-0, 6.30 ERA) and lefthander Taylor Turski (0-1, 3.50 ERA).
 
The Jayhawks lead the all-time series against the Huskies, 3-1, after a four-game set at QuikTrip Park in Grand Prairie, Texas, in 2014.
 
HBU hosts Stephen F. Austin in a non-conference game Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Husky Field, before beginning Southland Conference play on the road at Nicholls Friday through Sunday in Thibodaux, Louisiana.
