Junior guard
Amanda Johnson leads the Huskies (4-4), shooting 47.8 percent from the floor and averaging 17.8 points and 6.1 rebounds a game. Sophomore guard
Sophie Taylor is shooting 31.4 percent from the field and 34.1 percent (14-of-41) from the 3-point range, averaging 11.4 points a game. Sophomore guard
Britta Daub contributes 4.4 points and 5.1 rebounds a game and leads the team with 24 assists, while junior center
Natalia Gwarda adds 4.6 points and 3.9 rebounds a game and leads the team with 14 blocks. HBU won its most recent game against Huston-Tillotson on Dec. 10, 76-72. Johnson put up 24 points, which was her third consecutive game of 20 or more points scored. Taylor scored a career-high 23 points, while Gwarda posted a career-high 10 points and six boards.
ULM (2-7) is led by Gabriella Cortez, who averages 14.3 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Arsula Clark contributes 6.0 points and 5.1 rebounds, leading the team with 20 assists. Latangelia Walker adds 6.8 points per game, while Jessica Harris adds 6.9 points. The Warhawks are coming off of an 89-51 loss against University of New Orleans on Sunday, Dec. 18. Cortez led the Warhawks put up 7 points and brought down six boards, while Walker also scored seven points.
The Warhawks lead the all-time series 1-0 against the Huskies, after HBU fell 77-65 at home on Dec. 21, 2016.
The Huskies will continue their Louisiana swing on Tuesday, Dec. 21 for 6:30 p.m. game at Louisiana Tech, before returning home to begin Southland Conference play against Lamar Dec. 28 at 7 p.m. in Sharp Gym.
