HOUSTON – HBU and Texas State will play for the first time in six years when the Huskies host the Bobcats at Sharp Gym on Saturday, Dec. 2, evening at 7:00 p.m. Husky fans can listen to the action via the Legacy Sports Network audio broadcast with Lonnie King or watch a live stream provided by the Husky Spots Network, available at HBUHuskies.com.
 
HBU (2-5) heads into Saturday's game forcing more than 15 turnovers per game while Texas State (4-3) is averaging nearly 17 per game. The Huskies' assist-to-turnover ratio of 1.32 is the 54th-best mark in the country.
 
Junior point guard Braxton Bonds finds himself 21st nationally in steals with 18 total for a 2.57 per game average after picking up six steals in the Huskies' 96-66 win over Dallas Christian on Tuesday. Bonds has been filling up the scoresheet all season and is averaging 9.9 points, 5.3 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 2.57 steals.
 
In HBU's win over DCC, senior Josh Ibarra recorded the 17th double-double of his career with 24 points and 10 rebounds. He also added five assists and five blocked shots while Bonds finished with 15 points and six steals. Freshman Ian DuBose scored 12 in the win while David Caraher dished out a career-best 10 assists.
 
Texas State is 4-1 over its last five games after dropping its first two games of the season. The Bobcats are led by sophomore guard Nijal Pearson who is pouring in 14.9 points per outing and also leads the team with 7.3 rebounds per game. Marlin Davis, a sophomore, leads the team with three assists per game. Junior Alex Peacock, making his first start in Texas State's most recent win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, narrowly missed a triple-double with 21 points, nine rebounds and nine assists.
 
HBU is 1-2 all-time against the Bobcats with the last game at Sharp Gym coming during the 2010-11 season. The Huskies won that game 88-81 with Andrew Gonzalez leading all players with 27 points.
 
The Huskies return to the road on Wednesday, Dec. 6, with a visit to Jersey City, N.J. to take on Saint Peter's before a trip west on I-10 to play UTSA on Saturday, Dec. 9.
