Biography

2017-18 (Senior): Ibarra appeared in, and started, nine games before getting injured in the team’s 10th game of the season at UTSA…received a medical redshirt…averaged 26.6 minutes per game while averaging 16 points, a10 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.7 blocked shots per game on the floor and shooting 55.2 percent (58-of-105) from the field…led the Huskies in scoring three times and rebounding on seven occasions…posted five double-doubles…scored a career-high 31 points against Detroit Mercy (11/19), connecting on 12-of-16 from the floor and adding 13 rebounds…grabbed a career-high 17 rebounds in back-to-back games, first against Texas State (12/2) and then again at Saint Peter’s (12/6)…dished out a career-best six assists in the win over Texas State (12/2)…scored 26 points and had 17 rebounds at Saint Peter’s (12/6), including 11 offensive boards…scored in double-digits seven times…was named Southland Conference Player of the week once after averaging 19 points, 13.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and four blocks per game in wins over Dallas Christian (11/28) and Texas State (12/2).

2016-17 (Junior): Earned Second Team All-Southland Conference honors…started 30 games while appearing in all 31…was third on the team in scoring and second in rebounding with 12 points and 7.2 rebounds per game…led the team with 29 blocked shots…averaged 12.8 points and 7.8 rebounds in SLC play…shot 59.5 percent (154-of-259) for the season, leading the conference, and 63.3 percent (95-of-150) in SLC play…recorded seven double-doubles…averaged 2.77 offensive rebounds per game, good for fourth in the Southland…scored a career-high 25 points on 11-of-13 shooting to go along with a season-best 14 rebounds (nine offensive) at Northwestern State (2/9)…posted 16 points and 12 rebounds against Saint Peter’s (12/7)…finished with 18 points, 11 rebounds, three blocked shots and two assists against McNeese (1/7)…scored 18 points on 9-of-11 shooting and had 12 rebounds at Incarnate Word (1/14)…put up 17 points, 10 rebounds, five blocked shots and a career-high five assists against Randall (2/18)…scored 15 points and had a career-high three steals against Sam Houston State (2/16).

2015-16 (Sophomore): Ibarra earned All-Southland Conference honorable mention…appeared in 22 games, making 19 starts, before missing the final 11 games with an injury…averaged 10.3 points and 6.6 rebounds, while adding 30 blocked shots and 22 assists…shot 63.1 percent from the field and 50.0 percent (25-for-50) from the free-throw line…in 10 conference games, averaged 10.8 points and 6.9 rebounds, while shooting 68.6 percent from the field…scored in double figures 15 times and pulled down double-digit rebounds six times, with five double-doubles…scored a season-high 18 points, pulled down 12 rebounds and blocked a season-high five shots at Lamar (1/23)…also scored 18 points with seven rebounds against UC Riverside (12/15)…posted a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds against McNeese (1/5)…had 10 points and a career-high 15 rebounds against Ecclesia (12/29)…recorded 14 points, 13 rebounds, four assists and four blocked shots against Arlington Baptist (12/12) … notched his first double-double of the season with 10 points and 11 rebounds in only 16 minutes against Crowley’s Ridge (11/16).
 
2014-15 (Freshman): Appeared in 27 games, making nine starts…finished the season ranked 49th in the nation with 2.04 blocks per game…tied for 18th in the country among freshmen with 6.5 rebounds per game…also averaged 6.1 points per game…totaled 165 points, 175 rebounds and 55 blocks across 448 minutes played…also added 16 assists…scored in double figures five times, posting two double-doubles…recorded double figure rebounds five times…pulled down 11 rebounds and issued a career-high six blocks in collegiate debut against Hillsdale (11/17)…blocked six shots to tie career-high against Dallas Christian (11/29)…recorded 14 points at Houston (12/16)…finished with 10 rebounds and nine points at UC Riverside (12/20) and followed with 11 rebounds and seven points against Ecclesia (12/30)…posted 10 points and eight rebounds at Southeastern Louisiana (1/10)…recorded first career double-double with career-high 19 points and 10 rebounds against Abilene Christian (2/2)…scored 10 points against Texas A&M – Corpus Christi (2/9)…posted 14 points and 14 rebounds at Incarnate Word (2/23).
 
High School: A two-year starter for coach Clint Anderson at Angleton High School…as a senior, averaged 9.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.9 blocks per game to be named the District 23-4A Defensive Player of the Year…had 10 blocks in a bi-district playoff victory over Galveston Ball…named to the Guy V. Lewis Greater Houston Player of the Year Award Preseason Watch List.
