HOUSTON – HBU will put its undefeated home record on the line on Friday evening at Sorrels Field when the women's soccer team hosts Incarnate Word in a Southland Conference matchup at 7:00 p.m.
 
The Huskies (4-4-2, 3-1-1 SLC) are 3-0-1 over their last four matches, including a 1-0-1 showing at home in Southland play last weekend, earning a 4-0 win over Nicholls before drawing, 2-2, with Southeastern Louisiana. Six different players scored goals for HBU on the weekend while senior Ellee Hall remains tied for the league lead with six goals on the season.
 
HBU and its opponents have each totaled 14 goals in 10 matches while HBU holds a 9-4 goal advantage in SLC play. Goalkeeper Alanis Guevara, a junior, has posted three shutouts in conference and sports a save percentage of .897 to go with a goals against average of 0.74. The Huskies sit just two points out of first place, trailing Lamar, Central Arkansas and McNeese.
 
Incarnate Word (2-8-0, 1-4-0 SLC) has lost its last three matches, including a pair of one-goal home losses last weekend to Northwestern State and Central Arkansas. Junior Sam Batley leads the Cardinals with three goals while sophomore Brooke Hanson has accounted for two. In goal, Sydney Huntsinger and Katrina Buck have split time and combined for a 1.79 goals against average and a .667 save percentage. The Cardinals have been out-scored 18-8 in 10 matches this season.
 
The Huskies own a perfect 4-0-0 record all-time against the Cardinals, out-scoring them 11-3 over the past four seasons.
 
HBU will return to the road on Friday, Oct. 13, when the Huskies head to Natchitoches, La. to take on Northwestern State before continuing on to Conway, Ark. to face Central Arkansas on Sunday, Oct. 15.
