EL DORADO, Arkansas – In conclusion of its final tournament of the fall portion of its schedule, HBU men's golf finishes 10
th carding 315 in the third round bringing its total to 945.
Junior
Zach Campbell remained in the top ten to finish tied for seventh with a total of 228 shooting 79 in the third round. Senior
Carlos Trevino shot 83 bringing his total to 236 to tie for 26
th. Senior
Val Almendarez climbed up ten individual spots to finish tied for 32
nd with a total of 238 shooting a third round 78. Sophomore
Marcelo Trevino posted a HBU third round low of 77 bringing his total to 250 to tie for 60
th. Rounding out the placement for HBU is junior
Dan Dimaculangan scoring his tournament low of 81 bringing his total to 258 placing 66
th.
UNCW takes the number one spot for team standings with 916, seven ahead of number two Louisiana Tech, 10 ahead of number three Central Arkansas, 13 ahead of number four UTSA and 14 ahead of number five Arkansas State.
Taking the top individual spot is UNCW's Patrick Cover with 222, followed by Central Arkansas Lewis George with 224, and Louisiana Tech's Felix Palson with 225. Ending in a three-way tie for fourth with 226 is Southeastern Louisiana's Joris Eltin, Western Kentucky's Billy Tom Sargent and Little Rock's Justin Warren.
The Huskies will return back to action to kick off their spring semester in Patterson, Louisiana on Feb. 19-20 for the Atchafalaya tournament hosted by Nicholls State University.
