HOUSTON - HBU plays six of its next seven games at home, beginning with a three-game Southland Conference series against Stephen F. Austin this weekend at Husky Field. Due to the unfavorable weather forecast, the series will begin with a doubleheader Friday at 11 a.m., followed by the finale Saturday at 1 p.m.

Andrew Alvarez, who is hitting .355 with six doubles, a triple, a home run, nine RBIs and eight runs, while senior second baseman
Greg Espinosa is hitting .311 with six doubles, a triple, 12 RBIs and a team-leading 19 runs. Junior third baseman
Austin Zillweger is hitting .309 with three doubles and seven RBIs, senior shortstop

Connor Fikes leads SFA (16-18, 5-10) with a .405 batting average, four doubles, four triples, a home run, 22 RBIs and 22 runs, while Tyler Kendrick is hitting .361 with nine doubles, 11 RBIs and 25 runs. Garrett McMullen is hitting .342 with five doubles, a triple, seven home runs, 33 RBIs and 24 runs, while Zac Michener is hitting .331 with seven doubles, three home runs, 18 RBIs and 22 runs.

The Lumberjacks are expected to send lefty Erik Nouse (1-3, 4.76 ERA), righty Jared Greene (4-2, 4.99 ERA) and lefty Patrick Ledet (2-1, 4.93 ERA) to the mound.

SFA leads the all-time series against HBU, 14-10, but the Huskies are 4-2 in SLC games against the Lumberjacks since entering the league in 2014, including a three-game sweep in Nacogdoches last year.
