Schedule of EventsHOUSTON – The outdoor season for HBU track and field begins with the 65th Annual TSU Relays, held Friday and Saturday, March 18 and 19.
The running events will be held at TSU's Durley Stadium, while field events will be held at Rice University's Ley Track.
The first event begins at 8:30 a.m. with the men's and women's 5,000m final.
Emily Dunn,
Gabriela Busquet, and
Oscar Garcia will test the field for the Huskies.
HBU will send five student-athletes to the hurdles for a shot at Saturday's final.
Desiree Scott,
Ana Kriletic, and
Taylor Thomas will compete in the 100m hurdles, while
Garrison Fick and
Shawn O'Brien will represent the men in the 110m. Later in the morning,
Roneisha Webb and
Jarell McFarland will run in the 400m hurdles.
In the 100m, seven Huskies will toe the line for a shot at Saturday's final, as
Tambrisha Banks,
Lakesha Cameron, and
Imani Carr represent the women and Raymond Chukwuma,
Jordan Claypool,
Jamal Kemp, and
Sean Walker will go for the men.
In the field events,
Briana O'Brien will compete in the hammer throw and discus, while Kriletic will throw the shot put and javelin. Both Fick and S. O'Brien will compete in the discus, javelin, and shot put.
