Andrew Alvarez has hit safely in all eight games and is hitting .355 with two doubles, a home run, six RBIs and five runs for the season. Senior second baseman
Greg Espinosa leads HBU with a .364 batting average, including a pair of doubles, six RBIs and six runs. Junior rightfielder
Brandon Brintz leads the Huskies with nine RBIs, seven runs, two triples, is hitting .314 and has reached safely in all eight games.

Matthew McCollough (1-0, 2.00 ERA) is expected to get the start on the mound for HBU. McCollough shut out Washington State for three innings in an abbreviated start Friday and struck out a career-high 11 in a win over Binghamton on opening day.
Texas A&M (7-1) is hitting .342 as a team, led by J.B. Moss, who is hitting .440 with two doubles, two triples, a home run, seven RBIs and 11 runs. Nick Choruby is hitting .429 with three doubles, seven RBIs and five runs, while Boomer White is hitting .424 with two doubles, a home run, eight RBIs and six runs. Hunter Melson is hitting .406 with two doubles, three home runs, 10 RBIs and 10 runs, while Ronnie Gideon is hitting .364 with two doubles, two home runs and 12 RBIs.
Righthander Brigham Hill (0-0, 0.00 ERA) is expected to start for the Aggies. He has made three relief appearances, allowing five hits and striking out five in 6.0 innings.
HBU returns home for a five-game homestand, beginning with a four-game series against Utah Friday through Sunday at Husky Field. The Huskies will then host Texas Southern Tuesday, March 8, before beginning Southland Conference play.
