Ticket InformationCOLLEGE STATION, Texas – The HBU men's and women's track and field teams open their indoor season at the Texas A&M Invitational Friday, with both running and field events beginning at noon.
Sophomore
Daniel Shelton set a school record in the 800 at last year's Texas A&M Invitational and will look to do it again when he toes the line Friday. He will be joined by fellow sophomore
Cody Hammonds.
Last season, junior
Taylor Thomas earned bronze in the long jump in College Station and will be up against formidable opponents this season. Thomas will also be competing in the high jump and 60 meter hurdles.
HBU will put a mix of experience and youth in the prestigious event, with nine seniors competing in 12 events and nine freshmen in nine.
The first running event is the preliminary of the women's 60 meters, while the first field events will be the men's high jump and women's pole vault. Admission to the Gilliam Track Stadium range from $4-12.
