COLLEGE STATION, Texas – A four-run second by No. 18 Texas A&M held up as HBU blanked the Aggies over the final seven innings of a 5-1 loss in non-conference baseball Tuesday night at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park.

Zach Nehrir singled, stole a base and scored for the Huskies (6-2), and he has hit safely in all eight games this season. Junior leftfielder

Curtis Jones went 0-for-4, snapping his 15-game hitting streak.
Taylor went 3-for-4 and scored a run, while Melton went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Nottebrok drove in a pair, and Moss scored twice for the Aggies (7-1). Neither team recorded an extra-base hit, as TAMU out-singled HBU, 10-4.

Ross Kennell (0-1) took the loss for HBU, allowing five runs, four earned, on six hits in 5.1 innings. Junior lefty

Kobie Hajdik combined to shut TAMU out over the final 2.2 innings.
Stubblefield (1-0) earned the win for TAMU, allowing an unearned run on three hits, while striking out nine in 6.1 innings.
The Aggies got on the board with an unearned run as Moss reached on an error to lead off the bottom of the first, then scored on an RBI single by Nottebrok. TAMU scored four in the second, when Gideon struck out, but reached on a wild pitch, and scored on an RBI single by Moss. Nottebrok drew a bases-loaded walk, Melton followed with an RBI single, and Lankford capped the inning with a sacrifice fly to put the Aggies up, 5-0.
Nehrir had a one-out single in the seventh and scored when McCoy reached on an error to make the score, 5-1.
The Huskies return to action when they will play four games against Kansas this weekend in Grand Prairie, Texas. Friday's single game begins at 1 p.m., followed by a noon doubleheader Saturday and a single game Sunday at noon.
