Texas A&M leads the all-time series, 1-0-0, and won the first meeting, 6-2, in 2008 in College Station.
HBU and Texas A&M have only one common opponent in Stephen F. Austin. The Aggies defeated SFA, 1-0, on Aug. 24, while HBU fell to the Ladyjacks, 2-0, Oct. 3 in Houston and defeated SFA by the same score in the Southland Conference championship match, Nov. 9 in Beaumont, Texas.
HBU (10-6-5) is on a program-record 10-game unbeaten streak (8-0-2), as the Huskies won their first Southland Conference championship Nov. 9 in Beaumont, Texas, and earned the automatic bid, knocking off top-seed Stephen F. Austin, 2-0. Prior to that, third-seed HBU defeated No. 6 Southeastern Louisiana, 2-1 in double overtime, Thursday in the quarterfinals, and bested No. 2 Sam Houston State 4-2 in penalty kicks in Friday's semifinals after tying the Bearkats, 1-1.
HBU is led in scoring by senior forward

Texas A&M (18-2-2) is also on a 10-match unbeaten streak (9-0-1), as the Aggies shut out all three opponents in the SEC Tournament en route to the championship and the automatic bid: 3-0 versus Georgia Wednesday, 1-0 versus No. 17 South Carolina Friday, and 1-0 versus No. 20 Kentucky in Sunday's championship tilt.
