The Huskies (2-6, 1-4 SLC) are coming off their first-ever conference win, a 31-21 victory over Nicholls Oct. 25 on Homecoming at Husky Stadium. Redshirt freshman running back
B.J. Kelly has rushed for 276 yards the past two games, including 153 in the win over the Colonels, and now ranks fifth in the league with 74.6 rushing yards per game and 597 total and three touchdowns for the season. Sophomore quarterback
Jonathan Fleming has completed 81-of-149 passes for 935 yards, 11 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He and senior tight end
Kenneth Bibbins have connected for five touchdowns over the past four games in which each has played, and Bibbins has 22 catches for 354 yards and five touchdowns on the year.
HBU's defense is led by redshirt freshman linebacker
Garrett Dolan, who ranks fourth in the Southland with 8.8 tackles per game, 70 total, and 2.5 sacks. Junior defensive end

Jonathan Buffin had a breakout game against Nicholls, registering 16 total tackles (14 solo) and a couple of pass breakups. Buffin and redshirt freshman safety

Lamar (5-3, 2-2) had a bye last week and is also coming off a victory over Nicholls, 63-21, Oct. 18 in Thibodaux, La. Quarterback Caleb Berry has completed 167-of-284 passes for 2,203 yards, 17 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Running back Carl Harris has 654 yards on 95 carries with six touchdowns, while Kad Harrington has 450 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground and 115 yards and a touchdown through the air. Wide receiver Reggie Begelton leads the Cardinals with 42 catches for 531 yards and four touchdowns, while Mark Roberts has 27 catches for a team-leading 638 yards and seven touchdowns.
Defensive back Xavier Bethany anchors the Cardinals' defense with 67 tackles, two interceptions, two forced fumbles and fumble recovery, while linebacker Ronnie Jones has 66 tackles, 7.5 for losses and 3.0 sacks. Defensive lineman Joe Okafor has 5.0 sacks and has forced a pair of fumbles.
The Huskies play their final road game of the season against No. 15 Southeastern Louisiana Nov. 8 in Hammond, La., before wrapping up their first official season at home against Sam Houston State Nov. 15 at Husky Stadium.
