Matt Perri finished ninth for the HBU men and
Hiba Kreidie was ninth for the women Friday to lead the Huskies at the Texas Invitational cross country meet at Old Settlers Park. Perri clocked 25:33 over the eight-kilometer course, while Kreidie covered the five-kilometer women's course in 18:28.
Freshman
Juan Fraga ran a superb last two miles to finish as the No. 2 men's runner, passing up all but one of UTSA's competitors.
Jessica Whitt also had a solid outing, finishing in 18:41.
Texas swept the team and individual titles as Craig Lutz led a 1-5 Longhorn finish to give the host men a perfect score of 15 points, with UTSA second at 58 and the Huskies third at 73. Brittany Marches took top honors for UT in the women's race and the 'Horns scored 18 points, with UTSA (56) and HBU (64) in second and third.
The Huskies host the HBU Invitational on Friday, Oct. 11, at the St. Agnes Athletics Fields.
