HOUSTON – Houston Baptist will hit the road Wednesday to complete the home-and-home series with Chicago State and NJIT. The Huskies will face CSU on Thu., Feb. 16 at 7 pm and conclude the trip at NJIT on Sat., Feb. 18 at 1 pm central.

HBU is 0-5 all-time against CSU and 1-4 against NJIT, losing last month at home to each team.

HBU (1-20, 0-4 GWC) entered halftime tied with visiting Texas Southern, 24-all, on Feb. 7, but the Lady Tigers outscored the Huskies, 30-20, in the second half to defeat HBU, 54-44, in the Huskies' final non-conference game of the season.

Tayler Jefferson, Maisie Elston and Olivia Madison each set new career highs with 11, 10 and 7 points, respectively. Devyn Weymouth finished one rebound shy of her career high, as she grabbed 12 boards against TSU. She also had three points, three assists and three steals.

Morgan Simmons came off the bench to record a double-double of 13 points and 15 rebounds for TSU, while Gianne Fleming had 13 points and eight boards.

Shanice Steenholdt leads HBU on the season with 18.7 ppg and 10.9 rpg, while Weymouth is second in both categories, averaging 8.0 ppg and 5.8 rpg. In the last six games, Weymouth is averaging 9.2 rpg.

Chicago State (5-20, 3-2 GWC) lost at Utah Valley, 74-61, on Feb. 11.

Four Cougars finished in double-figures: Jackie Jones (12), Tierra Williams (12), Janay Dockery (11) and Natalie Marlowe (11). Dockery led CSU with nine rebounds and also led with four steals.

Sammie Jensen recorded a double-double of 14 points and 12 boards for Utah Valley. Whitney Jenkins scored a game-high 15 points.

Dockery leads CSU with 18.1 ppg and is second on the team with 5.2 rpg. Paris Williams leads with 5.3 rpg and is tied for second with Marlowe with 8.6 ppg. Dockery, the conference's second-leading scorer behind Steenholdt, also leads the team with 18 blocks and 79 steals.

NJIT (9-15, 3-4 GWC) lost at conference leader North Dakota on Feb. 11, 68-42.

Nicole Maticka led the Highlanders with 11 points and also finished with a team-high six rebounds. Reigning GWC Player of the Week, Allyssa Wall, led UND with 24 points, while Charnay Mothershed led with 14 rebounds.

Rayven Johnson leads NJIT on the season with 11.3 ppg and 8.1 rpg.
