HBU cut the lead to 2-1 in the 74th minute, as Hager scored, unassisted, on a breakaway.
“Natalie did a great job beating the defender and burying the ball in the net,” said head coach
Misty Jones. “That goal gave us a huge momentum swing. We created some very dangerous opportunities.”
The Huskies could not get the equalizer in the final 16 minutes. Jardon had a shot in the 84th minute, but was saved by Frazier.
“It was a hard-fought match,” said Jones. “Our intensity in the last 15 minutes was fantastic. We played a good game against a good opponent. We just came up a little short tonight.”
HBU (5-6-0) will return home to face TCU on Sun., Sept. 25 at 1 pm at Sorrels Field. It will be the final non-conference match before starting Great West Conference play.
