HOUSTON –
Kate Maddock's two-run double proved to be the difference-maker as HBU defeated visiting Stephen F. Austin State, 2-0, Wednesday afternoon at Husky Field.
In the bottom of the second, with two outs,
Jammie Weidert walked, followed by a
Mac Christensen walk. The next batter was Maddock, who found the gap in right field to bring home Weidert and Christensen.
In the top of the seventh, with runners on second and third and two outs, Elizabeth Arana hit one to right field, but
Daniella Rodarte squeezed the glove on the warning track to end the game.

Monika Covington took the loss for the Ladyjacks, as she fell to 0-6. She allowed three hits, two earned runs and four walks while striking out six.
