Freshman shortstop Sebastian Trinidad hit .500 (5-for-10) with three RBIs and two runs in the three-game series against Rice. In his collegiate debut Saturday, the Houston native went 3-for-4 with three RBIs and scored a run in an 8-7 victory over the Owls in the season opener. With the score tied in the top of the 10th inning, Trinidad delivered the go-ahead RBI single to propel HBU to the win. He had singles in each of the other two games to hit safely in his first three collegiate games.
