Junior setter Morgan Dewyer led the Huskies to a 3-1 record and made the All-Tournament Team at the UTRGV Tournament this week. In Tuesday’s 3-1 victory over crosstown rival Houston, the Palm Desert, California, native had 34 assists, five kills, eight digs and five aces. In the lone loss of the week to Washington State Friday, Dewyer recorded 23 assists, three kills, seven digs and an ace, then followed up with 34 assists, four kills, 11 digs and two aces in a sweep of Texas Southern. To close out non-conference play, Dewyer led HBU to a five-set win over host UTRGV with 39 assists, four kills, 11 digs, four aces and a pair of blocks.
