Gaines had an impressive showing at the Great West Conference Outdoor Track Championships, hosted by HBU. On Friday, she shattered the GWC record in the 100 prelims with an 11.62 clocking, then matched that on Saturday to pick up gold. She also teamed up with Joslyn Cooper, Tramisha McGrew and Skyla Williams to win the 4x100 in 46.56. She also set a lifetime best in the 200 at 24.25 to claim silver.
