MGOLF: Huskies Finish 15th at All-American Intercollegiate

Pawlak leads HCU as strong winds challenge field at Golf Club of Houston

HUMBLE, Texas — The Houston Christian men's golf team finished 15th at the All-American Intercollegiate, hosted by Houston at the Golf Club of Houston. The Huskies posted rounds of +33 and +27 to finish the two-day event at +60 while competing against a strong 16-team field.

Arkansas, ranked No. 4 nationally, captured the team title at +21, followed by Eastern Michigan at +23 and Tarleton State at +25. North Texas finished fourth at +39, while Rice and Abilene Christian tied for fifth at +40.
The tournament was played in challenging conditions, with steady 20 mph winds affecting both rounds at the Golf Club of Houston.

Brooks Pawlak led the Huskies, finishing 24th overall at +11 with rounds of 81 and 74. Pawlak recorded multiple birdies during the final round as he climbed the leaderboard to pace HCU.

John "Cooper" Camp finished 39th at +13 after posting rounds of 78 and 79. Camp opened the tournament with a birdie on the first hole and remained among the Huskies' top scorers across both rounds.

Brendon Willey placed 68th at +19, carding rounds of 84 and 79. Mason Napier finished 72nd at +20 with rounds of 81 and 83, while Carter Patterson rounded out the Huskies' scoring lineup with rounds of 81 and 85 to finish 76th at +22.

HCU opened the tournament with a +33 team score before improving to +27 in the second round, posting a six-stroke improvement despite the windy conditions.

The Huskies were paired with Sam Houston, Houston and Odessa during the final round of play, with Brooks Pawlak, John "Cooper" Camp, Brendon Willey, Mason Napier and Carter Patterson representing HCU in the lineup.
