BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Senior
Edouard Lecrivain won a race for the third meet in a row as the HCU track & field team competed in its final meet of the season, the Texas A&M Alumni Muster, at E.B. Cushing Stadium on Saturday.
Edouard Lecrivain's outstanding season continued as he won his third-consecutive 800-meter race with a time of 1:48.13.
Denzel Hinds, meanwhile, recorded a time of 51.72 for a fifth-place finish in the men's 400-meter hurdles.
In the men's triple jump, sophomores
Dadrian Calhoun and
Josh Gillis-Harry finished back-to-back in third and fourth with marks of 15.19m/49-10 and 15.17m/49-9.25.
Benny Haywood leapt 7.05m/23-1.75 in the long jump, placing 11
th, while
Kennedy Doakes and
Chimaoge Nwokedi each cleared 1.68m/5-6.0 in the women's high jump, finishing ninth and 10
th.
SJ Marais had a strong meet, posting a pair of PR marks, first in the 110-meter hurdles. He ran 14.23 (+2.4) to place seventh while he also ran a PR time of 10.59 (+3.7) in the 100-meter dash.
Peyton Oliver raced to a PR time of her own in the women's 100m with a time of 11.91 (+2.8).
HCU will wrap up the 2025 outdoor regular season in town from May 15-17 at the Southland Conference Championships being held at Rice Ley Track and Holloway Field.
