FRISCO, Texas – HCU's
Edouard Lecrivain and
Dadrian Calhoun swept the Southland Conference Men's Track and Field Athlete of the Week awards this week following their performances at the Bryan Clay Invitational last week.
Lecrivain ran twice in California, first breaking a 42-year-old Southland Conference record in the 800 meters with a time of 1:47.03. That time ranks 21
st in the NCAA this season and places him 10
th on the West Region performance list. The following day, the senior ran the 1500 meters in 3:41.94 for the second-fastest time ever by an SLC runner. Both times are the fastest in the conference this season and are new HCU records.
Calhoun, meanwhile, won the triple jump for the second-straight meet at the Bryan Clay Invitational. The sophomore earned the event win with a top jump of 15.54m/51-0.
The Huskies are back on the track this coming Saturday, Apr. 26, across town at the Rice J. Fred Duckett Twilight meet.
